WTJU's Rock Department is conducting a "One-Day Dollar Give-a-thon on the Internets". It's today, Thursday, July 10.
TODAY ONLY click on the "Make a Donation" button at the top left of the page, and donate one measely dollar to our cause. One dollar! You won't miss it, and we'll even give it back to you after today. No joke! Or, it will be directed to the station. Your choice.
We've got a bunch of new things up our sleeves, and we want your help proving to the powers-that-be that people care about our sleeves, and what's inside them. These are the first in a series of babysteps into this crazy "Web" thing, hopefully including but hopefully not limited to: our blog, taking requests in-show via Gmail and Gchat, putting our favorite new songs online for you to listen to, taking donations online, listening to us on iTunes, and archiving our recent shows for your convenient listening pleasure. We even have a group on Facebook. I know.
Like a first date, change is fun, but scary. More than just your dollar, your donation will show all of WTJU that you value our station, that you support, nay, demand our efforts to make your experience of WTJU easier, sleeker, more accessible, more plugged in, and more open to your support, feedback, contributions, and love. Especially love.
