WPRB, vinyl, new song (in that order)

1. I don't drive through New Jersey anymore (it's a long, painful story), but when I did I would always peep WPRB 103.1 FM out of Princeton for a good 90 minutes or so when I could pick up the signal between Phillipsburg and Newark. Great programming and DJs there, including the indomitable Jon Solomon of My Pal God Records. I definitely recall falling in love with a DJ who goes by the name of Lizbot the last time I drove through the Garden State.

My friend Maria has a couple of shows there this summer and also runs WPRB's blog, and she's never been a student at Princeton. A mutual love of Pavement and nerding out on the Internet brought us together - we've been buddies for over a decade now. Hopefully I'll be fortunate enough to host her on my show one day.

2. All-vinyl extravaganza on Pure Easy Listening tomorrow! Hopefully I won't be too wiped out by No Age and High Places in DC tonight.

3. New-ish song discovery of the day (thanks to the always-awesome pootee muxtape): Air France's "Collapsing At Your Doorstep"
