{After a full weekend of music from the late 50's and early 60's, I had to start with some Norwegian Black Metal to cleanse the palate. I couldn't stay away completely, though... that Irma Thomas track is just too good.}

Is anyone else frustrated by the total lack of discographical info on those Sublime Frequencies comps? I'd really like to know what decade those Princess Nicotine tracks are from. 1972? 1992? Your guess is as good as mine. Apparently the original release of that comp didn't even have any artist names or track titles... seems mildly exploitive if you ask me, but anyway I'm glad to have heard the music. Oh, also: Ulaan Khol is the new thing by Steven R. Smith from Thuja, Jewelled Antler Collective, etc. TwinSisterMoon is the guy from Snowbringer Cult. The "George Collins" track is from an old Blackbean & Placenta compilation. And that new Black Boned Angel / Nadja single-track, 2o-min EP is so good I couldn't resist a repeat airing -- one of my favorites this year, for sure.
