A few more radio stations/websites that could serve as good examples
first: KVRX, the student-run rock station at the University of Texas. I think the takeaway point from this website is the "directors" page, wherein 15 or so people are listed as having responsibilities of some form or another for a station that only broadcasts after 7pm. If the meeting last night was any indication, there's certainly sufficient interest to pursue something similar here in Charlottesville. We're a motivated group of people.
Decent blog as well, easy connection to streaming content, &c.

second: one of the bigger ones, KEXP Seattle - honestly, I think that WTJU could do something like this with enough effort/dedication/convincing. We're affiliated with UVa, for chrissakes. Two-week streaming show content, a really nice blog, easy interface and so forth. I emailed them about the streaming bit, no word back yet. This site was almost certainly done professionally, however - should probably keep that in mind.
